The staff doesn't answer the assistance call button for hours, the food is horrible, the residents rattle door handles at all hours and my mom had someone break a key off in her lock.

MIL is happy with the staff, loves the food and church service time available. Has made some friends. Have noticed she has pictures on the floor that she said will be hung by maintenance team, has been there for 2 months now. Not sure she has actually requested the pics to be hung. Overall, pleased.

At Brookdale the food was awful. A few of the med techs talked down to my mom and made her upset. They charged us for extra assistance with care and my mom didn't receive it, The head med tech said she never received a care plan for my mom. So when she pushed her call button for bathroom assistance they never came to help. They didn't help her get dressed or undressed until I complained to them about it. Her wheelchair was delivered but no one knew who the wheelchair was for. It took me a while to figure out it was…
