PositiveWhile our family’s circumstances ultimately changed and we did not move in, I wanted to share how thoroughly impressed I was with Brookdale. The environment is beautiful and the care I witnessed during our visit was excellent. The residents appeared truly comfortable and happy in their surroundings. Every staff member we met was professional, informative, and deeply understanding of how emotional and important this transition is for a family. The staff is all very friendly and by the first day everybody knows you by your first name which I thought was miraculous. Everyone is extremely helpful the [name removed] who comes to clean my room did an excellent job and she was very sweet and fun to talk to. PositiveThis was my area of choice, especialy for the location, which is close to UCI and shopping. This facility was very nice and the staff were friendly. Residents appeared to be very comfortable in the large building. After viewing a 1 bedroom apartment, I realize that I am not quite ready for this type of accommodation.

Most of the people were nice, especially the caregivers themselves. However it was clear that they were very understaffed when it came to caregiving and they took 30 minutes to an hour at times when called to assist with bathroom transfers. It seems like there was a lot issues with the caregiving management. The dining experience was good and they were nice enough to accommodate dietary restrictions.
