Food-Vegetables are hard to eat, not cooked till tender. I brought my dad his plate to his room one day and was unable to cut the meat with a fork and butter knife. Small portions also. Staff-Have had a couple staff members that will not transport my dad back to his room after dining. It is in his care plan this is to be done. Also, did not change his bedsheets for over a month. I finally did it last visit. Was told 3 times by staff recently they would make sure he was on the "schedule." Overall it's been an ok ex…

Facility was a bit understaffed. My parents recognized this and felt bad for the care givers who were working long hours. That being said, it didn't seem to affect the care. Most of the staff I seen were very nice and caring to the residents.

Brookdale charges higher feels for less than adequate care. Sad and disappointing.I would not recommend it. Poor communication between resident/staff/care givers. Inconsiderate staff and often times short staffed. Inconsistent cleaning. Nurses slow to implement care/med changes when notified. Routine health check ups/tests were duplicated unnecessarily on the residents because staff incompetent. No or late response by administrators when complaints filed. The place is filthy. My mother’s bedding was stained and on one occasion dirty t shirts were used instead of pillow cases. We found pills in drawers and on the floor. Personal items went missing and she was often not dressed n her own clothes. On several occasions she was dressed in men’s shirts. The call light was placed where she could not reach it. When we would push the light the response was very slow if at all. Administration did not communicate very well. They were unable to figure out how to have a doctor’s…
