Make sure you are present when your family member is evaluated and have a clear understanding with the staff about care level needs. Think through the small things that may be taken for granted at home. Be proactive in reaching out to staff with concerns. Get clarity on what "assisted living" means for both your loved one and the facility, and that your loved one's goal is to be as independent as possible before choosing this option.

PositiveIt was clear there are staffing shortages. The longer term staff really knew their jobs and care was very good. Shorter term staff were often clueless. The facility presents well & is clean. I felt it is a very negative thing that the legionaires bacteria is not being addressed strongly enough. It's going to come back at you.
