The staff is very caring and some go out of their way to make sure my mom is well taken care of. They are very receptive to concerns and handle things quickly to improve the situation. Let me say first, I don’t think this was a good fit as most residents here have severe dementia. Staff is very friendly and easy to reach when needed. The place is clean and looks nice. Having said that, there seems to be disorganization and not enough staffing over the weekend. I’m not sure choosing alternative menu items is really offered, and it seems like they are given the same things over and over. They had a COVID outbreak, and they were good about letting the families know, but I was surprised to see the ma…

My father has been a resident at Brookdale Leawood for 8 months. I was caring for him at home when it was getting more and more tiring. I met with [name removed] who was beyond caring and thoughtful during our tour with her. [name removed] he has moved in his spirits have been raised with the thanks of [name removed] and the programs she puts on. I can sleep at night knowing he is cared for and is getting the attention he needs.
