I have found the staff and administration very friendly and helpful. They keep me informed of all changes in her heath, behavior and medications. Room size is fine.

Caring and Professional Rehabilitation Facility

After spinal surgery and a stroke, my mother went to Brookdale Overland Park for a month of intensive rehabilitation. Her experience was terrific. The nurses, therapists, and doctors on staff were thorough, professional, compassionate, and encouraging. They took the time to get to know her, and encouraged her in a safe and realistic way. not enough educated staff

staff is constantly changing, rooms are drab and not often cleaned, especially laundrey is a problem, activities are okay, they have them. the staff is not trained to deal well with elderly patients, a cafeteria worker confronted the patient i paid for there and they put the patient in a state prison like facility that we had to retrieve him from, i was never informed about any discipline at all for the worker who was rude and should have mopped around the person instead telling an 89 yr old to move. outrageous! if…

Our Family's Experience

We loved everything about Brookdale. The nurses and staff all so kind and caring. Everything is kept beautifully and very clean. Food and activities were great. Our only complaint is that my uncle was there less than a month and they charged us excessive fees after he passed. He died without a will so it took us a couple of months to go through the legal process to gain access to his funds so we could pay his bills. While we were working on that, Brookdale was charging us [fee removed] a month as "Late" fees. I am …

Brookdale Overland Park

Brookdale Overland Park is a good place...no place is perfect, but I would tell others looking that they can feel good about having their loved ones there. I would recommend this facility to other families looking.

Beware the Contract

Beware the Contract: I am writing this as I am sitting in the Hospice room with my Dad. While living in Brookdale of Overland Park he fell in his room. Several things led to this happening: they wouldn’t put anti slip socks on him at night (even after we requested this be done and put up a sign, which they took down), they practically made us use one of their beds which had no side rails, they rearranged his room so he was getting out of bed a different direction, and their floors in the rooms are very slick.
