When we first placed my husband in Brookdale it was [date removed] during the pandemic. They seemed to be concerned for him and from what I could see through window it was alright. The staff was very accommodating in FaceTime. But then they got a new manager in February and new nurse and things went downhill from there. His care was not as good, his appearance was sad. They raised the rates saying he needed more care but he still received the same care. I moved him to a different facility the beginning of May 2021.…

Good contact in the initial stages... then my dad passed so then mom didn't have to move from current place...very difficult to get ahold of anyone or any answers about my deposit(we had not moved in). No condolences ... I felt like we really were just a number bringing in money. It was sad and frustrating. I emailed the nurse who did the intake... she said she thought I would be getting my deposit back... gave me another contact, etc... I got the deposit check in the mail.... but it all seemed like an impersonal …
