PositiveBrookdale is a new beginning
Brookdale has been a wonderful decision for my sister [name removed]. Please warn families they charge $[removed]/ month to give daily meds. It's "outrageous" also the highest rate in all of Jefferson County KY. Families need to be forewarned so they can be prepared. I'm still in shock and probably would have made a different choice, based on that cost. However, my sister is adjusting well and she is happy. My family is working with her doctor to reduce her meds for 5 pills/day to only 2.

It has pleasant inviting outdoor grounds surrounded by trees. A nice area for sitting outside or just strolling the grounds. The rooms are very spacious with amenities of being home. PositiveWe toured Brookdale Stonestreet. We met with a young lady (her name escapes me right now.) She had a very informative presentation and we had very few questions after that. There was some sort of celebration in the common area that included a singer/musician singing Christmas music. All of the residents looked like they were enjoying it. Nice place, friendly people. Fun entertainment activities. Decent food. Most residents are older, need more assistance than typical assisted living. Slow response time for assisting residents when in need of bathroom help, personal hygiene assistance, or getting wheelchair transport assistance. Exercise programming could use additional options like tai chi and chair yoga.
