PositiveFriendly Staff
The staff is very helpful, especially when my mom first arrived. Very clean, and cozy feeling. The closets and the bathrooms are very spacious. Mom says the food is good, and plenty to eat.

The complaint I have with Brookdale West Melbourne is that I have asked for reasons on price increases on my mom's bill to several individuals and they aren't explaining it to me. I even met with Kenn Voegele the manager in person and he promised me an answer but has never responded. In billing there should be more transparency. My mom's personal service rate went up over $100 and no details. Her medication has not changed at all.

PositiveHappy in this friendly new home
Staff is very kind and makes Mom feel special , for example gifts or cards for birthday and holiday. Only issues have been lost laundry and no caffeinated coffee. Space is small but we knew that going in. Overall she's happy and it's so much better than where she was.

CriticalExercise caution when deciding
Very little good I can say which is why I am moving to another facility on the [date removed]. Brookdale needs some serious updating, improve their staffing levels, and definitely improve both the quality and delivery of the food at meals. Promises are not kept and contractual commitments are not honored. Example room cleaning is supposed to occur weekly. I have been here 6 months and room cleaning has never occurred weekly. Two to 3 weeks is the norm.

PositiveBrookdale was an attractive facility, with the exception of stained carpeting in places. I visited at a time when the residents were having a holiday entertainment event, which was nice to see. I saw a one bedroom, but studio was in the process of renovation. I would put this place on my short list for consideration.
