Studio apartment size is an adequate space for visitors and belongings. Weekly housekeeping is ok but could be more thorough. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Activities daily help pass the time and are engaging. Sometimes the staff encourage residents to participate in new things. This is really appreciated. The outside space is relaxing with birds and other wildlife to watch. Food is good. The dining room floor looks clean but is always sticky.

I had a great experience with one nurse in particular. She was great about communicating with me regarding my mom since I lived out of the area and was ver compassionate and knowledgeable. In general staff was helpful. When my mom's situation changed and I wanted her to move to a room that opened up closer to the nursing station, staff moved furniture and equipment when I wasn't able to be there. I noticed that even dining room staff had skills in working with individuals with dementia and their unique challenges.…

We did not like Brookdale. Not a very caring home. They were all about profit and just don't care. They left her in a cold corner room. No heat, not much contact with other residents. She needed something for a stomach ache. We (I was with her) waited over two hours and no one ever came by. Not even with ginger ale she'd had before.
