My only complaint, if you can call it that, is maintenance. Getting someone to come over to the condo/apartment to fix things is difficult. Yes, I would recommend The Chapel Hill community to other families.

CriticalThe individual we were to meet with went home and did not notify us ahead of time. When we arrived the induvial that was to fill-in was unaware of what area we were tour, did not have materials ready and could not answer questions. Was told at the end of the SHORT tour that I would be contacted the following day. Follow up wasn't until four days later, it consisted of a number of questions that I was to be answered before any follow-up and never addressed her being unavailable for the scheduled tour. PositiveGreat option for Independent Living
My mom is in independent living, so a lot of that isn't a factor. The condos are spacious and definitely made leaving her home of nearly 60 years less of a trauma. She's still active on her life outside Chapel Hill so she doesn't do a ton there, but seems to enjoy the meals and the people she's met. Unfortunately they dint seem to be able to keep an activities person on staff for the Independent Living people so that makes it more challenging to get integrated into the community.
