About Brookstone Terrace of Chanticleer

Brookstone Terrace of Chanticleer offers all the amenities and services of assisted living, but includes specially trained staff who are focused on the needs of residents with memory impairment. Three neighborhoods are designed to accommodate the different stages of Alzheimer's and related dementia. We consider it a privilege to extend special care to those individuals with dementia, and we encourage you to visit with us and learn more about The Haven and our unique program. Each of The Haven's 48 apartments is a well-planned, customized environment providing residents with a simplified, safe home. Each neighborhood has a secure, landscaped courtyard with a screened porch, raised planting beds for easy gardening activity and a walking path The foundation of our program is licensed nursing professionals on-site, and caregivers who are specially trained to work with the memory impaired. Additionally, our Activity Director develops and coordinates a variety of stimulating social and physical activities.

The whole community has lots of open space for residents to wander around , plenty of light . They have many rooms for special functions . A barbers shop , Ice cream shop . It's literally like a small town . The staff are wonderful . Unfortunately my husband passed after only being there for about 5 weeks. I saw him everyday at that time, he loved the staff and they loved him . I actually went there today to visit some of the residents that I had got to know. And will continue to go . The people from the time my wife and I entered the door til the time we left. The set up; the 3 different units: Columbia, Charleston and Greenville! I love the set up. Before we left the facility, I knew that's where I wanted my dad to stay. I even told my kids that when my time comes, this is where I want to be, if my memory is failing me. Great experience

Brookstone has helped our Mom transition very well. It was a rough start but she is doing much better! I would recommend to others. We appreciate their patience with our Mom during the adjustment time. It was a difficult start and she is doing g much better now. She did not love it in the beginning but has adjusted to k owing she needs the care.

Getting back to you with answers to questions you have posed to them. Having a better weekend staff. They need to be more concerned about the residents than their own personal business. Appears to be a skeleton staff on the weekend. Residents needs don't change on the weekend.
