Brookstone Terrace of Thomasville

Do not put your love one in the memory cottage!

Brookstone appeared to be a wonderful place but it wasn’t. They had an activity calendar but it was never followed except by the activity director. The patients sat in front of the tv most of the time. The CNA’s were always on their phones. My family member became severely dehydrated and the staff could not keep her wound clean. I had to ask them to wash her hands after using the bathroom. She had family members visit everyday. Brookstone can and should do better!

Perfectly Like Home

I would give them a 5 in all areas. I have eaten there, and the food is high quality. There are activities daily on site. They take field trips often. They assist the residents with any needs. They notify me anytime something has changed (even a cold). Doctors visit patients at least monthly and give me a report. I am pleased that they have a Memory Care section.

Good fit for mom

Overall, extremely pleased with the facility. Its Small size is a great fit for my mom. We looked at more expensive, fancier places with more amenities, but would choose Brookstone without a doubt, even if the cost for all facilities was the same.

Great and clean place for mom….

A great and clean place for mom, however I feel some of the staff workers were not equipped to handle the dementia patients. My mom got agitated really easy and I feel the staff were not trained specifically how to properly redirect the residents. My mom got kicked out because she hurt one of the staff members and I feel like that could have been avoided.

Highly recommend

This was a great place overall. They had lots of fun activities for the residents. One of the few complaints I have was about the food. It left a lot to be desired. I highly recommend Brookstone Terrace of Thomasville.

I had to find an assistant living facility for my mother in law. I visited about 10 different facilities and kept coming back to Brookstone. Suprise visits. The staff, residents and visitors were a joy. I looked at the activites calender and it was full of activities for the residents. My mother in law was a pistol the first 2 months she was there. She, had lost her husband and was living at N Topsail Island. We had to bring her closer. She has decided that I made the right choice
