Homey facility

It was small ( 10 bedrooms) and very clean but homey. Our initial contact with staff members was very positive It's a very nice facility. The owners is very Hands on and their staff has been with him for years. My doctors 104 year old grandmother has resided there for over 5 years.

occupant beware of lack of care

It wasn't until after [name removed] had been there a while that they were not providing the care they promised to provide. [name removed] lost a lot of weight hadn't eaten in 4 days and no one said anything, the food was terrible no at all as advertised, there were no exercises. [name removed] lost use of his legs and a lot of his arms. For the money my Vet would have done a better job. We had just made arrangements for [name removed] to move to another facility that they just let him go to hell in a hand basket. …

I would say it's a great facility to work with. They take care of you and even exceed expectations. Carefree assisted living was a great experience for my family and I. They really made us feel like family was taking care of my mom.

Carefree Assisted Living

My 100 year old mother in law was placed on hospice right after Thanksgiving. She had been living with us up until then. She needed 24/7 care that I wasn't able to provide. We found this home thru A Place for Mom" and moved her there at the end of December. Although she only lived another two weeks, the care she received was nothing short of amazing. A wonderful option when the time comes.

We've been very happy with carefree assisted living so far. The staff is extremely friendly and kind and helpful. The house is always extremely clean. The staff is supportive and responsive to needs. We're very grateful to have used A Place For Mom to find this next stage of care for our loved one.

My mother suffered from Frontotemporal Dementia, behavioral variant. This nursing home can deal with dementia, but not the behavioral variant. So no, it didn't work out, but that doesn't mean they didn't do a good job with what they do. My mother just wasn't a good fit
