The community is home to on average 50 independent living and 30 assisted living individuals, ages 55+. The home’s insulated campus offers peace and privacy while remaining within access to the attractions and conveniences that Charlotte, North Carolina, has to offer. Carmel Hills is centered around Christian living. With its warm, professional care staff and its moderate population size, the community has the atmosphere of a spiritual retreat center. Community members can relax in their private apartments and suites or enjoy the company of others in the lodge with its cozy fireplace and its front porch overlooking the lake. With housekeeping, laundry, meals, and salon services on site, residents can enjoy a worry-free retirement experience. Carmel Hills is an idyllic community for aging in place. As residents’ needs change over time, the community’s care staff are able to continue care. Community members can receive support with activities of daily living, as well as incontinence care, ambulatory support, medication assistance, hospice, and more. Podiatry and physical therapy can be offered on site. The home is secure for those with dementia who may wander.
