Peace of mind

The administrator works with both staff and residents to resolve any problems that could arise, and she is very fair And accessible. I feel there could be more activities, but it takes more staff and they do try hard . I feel the value is adequate.

The staff and residents are very friendly and care about the residents. I liked the low number of residents at the facility it has more of a home feeling than an institution.

I have looked at over 15 CBRFs and assisted living communities, after leaving I cried at 13 of the places!! But the moment I walked into Carrington I was welcomed by staff! And a resident and a Nurse were polka dancing in the living area!! Trust me, never seen that at any other homes! I could just feel the love!! I also liked that it was a 20 room facility! AWFUL!!!

This place was dirty. The staff was poorly trained and very disinterested in their patients. I honestly thought that I was going to die there! I couldn't wait to get out. They served junk food: no salads, no greens, only boiled/canned vegetables. My impression was that they were trying to spend as little as possible on the patients. I feel sorry for all of those that couldn't leave. There were 3 ladies that told me they begged for their children to take them out of this hole!

LESS THAN ZERO!

I am RN and had friend that was put in this facility. She there for less 2 weeks because there was such an outcry from her friends and family. The place was dirty. There were holes through the carpet right through to the subfloor. The fronts of kitchen drawers and cabinets were broken. There was no therapy dept., no activity dept. (the activity director came in to introduce herself and say that it was her last day and as far as she knew there was no replacement). The food was: pizza, hot dogs, spahetti-o type casse…

Great Experience, small community feeling

Our parents have been living at Carrington for over three years, including during this last Covid-19 year, and they have had a great experience there. Prior to living at Carrington, they lived for a year in one of Green Bay's giant assisted- living/rehab/ nursing home campuses, and the difference is remarkable. Carrington has a maximum of 22 residents, so the staff gets to know the residents as individuals and knows each persons needs, likes and dislikes.
