★★★★★
PositiveSuper great front desk staff, a responsive executive director and beautiful facility and courtyard. Yes we would recommend Cedarhurst of Lawrence to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
★★★★★
PositiveCedarhurst is great! Mom's health has improved immensely since moving in -- a combination of regular, great-tasting meals, PT and OT (on-site), and the various social activities. She is stronger physically and emotionally. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, quiet and well-maintained. Well staffed. Lots of personal contact. Multiple activities each week. Great food. Well maintained building and grounds. Very well pleased with everything at Cedarhurst. We can't say enough good about Cedarhurst.

CriticalStaff is friendly, the assisted living is minimal help with add on costs for any extra care. My father passed away in the memory care there last month and if we wouldn’t have had Hospice for his end days , I’m not sure how we would have gotten any communication about what was going on. I never saw the Nurse administrator or faculty administrator until a hour after my dad had passed. Hospice was our saving grace! Not Cedarhurst.
★★★★★
CriticalThere's what they tell you is included and then there's what you actually get and there's a big gulf between these two. if you have a relative in Cedarhurst, you will need to advocate constantly to assure your relative gets the services that are included in the contract. If a resident presses their pendant, it could be 30 minutes before someone responds. Imagine if your relative has a medical emergency and presses the pendant and 30 minutes pass before someone comes. Not okay. It's all flash with no substance.
★★★★★
CriticalCedarhurst is beautiful and new. Most of the staff is very nice. The reason for a 3 is- there aren’t nearly as many activities as what was promoted, the food is ok, but takes a very long time from ordering and a lot of times food temperature is cold. The last downfall is that it is a very big place and hard to feel like community.
