PositiveThe staff is very personable - my mom really loves it there and adjusted much quicker than expected. The room size is very comfortable. The food is iffy - some days she loves it, some days she won't eat it. Overall, we are happy with the decision.

PositiveThe room is spacious and the staff is very accommodating. I love that there are daily activities and opportunities for hair care. They are continually in contact with me which reassures me when I'm not there. I also love that I can stop by to visit at any time without communicating first.

CriticalThe facility was bright, spacious and clean with a section for more serious care if needed. Initial impressions across the board were favorable. However, I found the level of attention my father needed was not provided as time passed. If you have a loved one there, you must visit everyday to ensure proper care.

CriticalMy dad only ended up living for one week when transferred to Charter, so my experience is limited. It is difficult to work with Charter and Gilchrist Hospice together and to get medication when first getting there or a new prescription or a change in instruction as their pharmacy is in Virginia and delivers in the middle of the night. I felt gaslight when expressing concerns about my dad to both Charter and Hospice. If you or your loved one isn't at the very end of their life it could maybe be a decent place but un…
