Positivememory care experience
To be honest it's not a good experience to have a spouse in memory care, as for the facility it was well run by the former administration , some of the people quit and new ones have come in. Rooms are adequate size, food is excellent, lots of activities , very clean

We have had mom at Morningstar for 2 months. Pros: right size community with attentive and compassionate people. Apartments are well maintained, modern and clean. Many options for activities and physical movement. Cons: Staffing turnover and communication regarding changes could be more timely, clear and transparent. Food is ok not many fresh options Food could be better prepared too much canned and gravy covered meals. Even eggs and potatoes are processed not fresh

The whole facility, including all the common areas, is quite clean and always smells good. My mom gave it a 4 only because the cleaning people seem to ignore my Dad's floor in his room.) My dad requires a lot of extra care due to his left side paralysis from the stroke. For this reason, someone with such extreme loss of autonomy might do better in a facility where they have a higher level of care. Having said that, they do pretty darn good. Excellent facility with superb, well trained and caring staff. Gorgeous location overlooking the World Famous Fountain Hills fountain. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and desert trails. The lush green park surrounding the fountain has a walking trail, statues, tributes, and ongoing seasonal activities. We thank A Place for Mom for helping us locate this facility!
