Poor Experience

It wasn't a good situation as it was during the time the business was sold. The owners didn't pay bills, the facility had the irrigation water turned off due to not paying the bill, the food became horrible due to money, staff was quitting, the staff that.

A few problems

I chose Copper Springs Senior Living because of the cost and the smaller size of the building he is in. But there have been problems. Most of his clothes have disappeared. So I don't feel it's very secure.

This is kind of difficult as my mother is pretty much bedridden and has dementia. So we don't get to participate in much due to her condition. The main part of the facility seems very nice and enjoyable. We have been more of end of life care over the last year or so. I can say my mother has been treated with dignity and respect during her stay.

Happy with the experience

Staff is very friendly, very patient and caring and they keep me informed on Emily's transition to living in the facility. They need to provide exercise classes to the memory care residents like they do for the assisted living residents. There is nothing exercise related for them and not much else other than coloring. I get a group of 3 or 4 to play games with me sometimes when I go to visit [name removed].

Bad, be very weary!

My brother inlaw who has advanced Parkinsons was in Copper Springs for a little over a month. Family was ASSURED they could care for his medical needs. Within 3 weeks it was clear this was not to true. Refused to follow through on assisting with PT exercises citing liability issues. Stopped taking him to dining hall for his meals instead leaving him in bed 24/7 having meals in his room. They brag about meals. The food was not good.
