Positivemazing Staff and Environment
The staff was always friendly. They treat everyone like family. My mom loved them!!! I love them!!! Yes, we would recommend this community to other families!!! When my mother passed in January the staff got together and gave me a beautiful lamp. Every time I look at that lamp I don't just think of my mom, I also think of how wonderful everyone was to my mother. They truly made her happy. I am eternally grateful to the whole staff at country cottages!

We moved our aunt from her previous assisted living home to the Cottages about a month ago, and she is much happier now. She is so pleased with the menu here and brags about how her room is being cleaned regularly. My sister and I visit every week for about half a day and while we’re here there’s someone from the staff who comes in to check on her a couple of times. My dad, [name removed], has had a very good experience at Country Cottage in Decatur. The admission process was simple and pretty much seamless. The food is good. There are plenty of activities for the residents and they get just the right ratio of attention and privacy. If there is an issue, the staff is on top of it. We searched many places in Morgan county for the Right place for my mom to live. She visited all of them with us and we were blown away with the Country Cottage. The staff is great and the facilities are in very good condition. As with anything, the staff makes all the difference. Yes, there have been shortages of staff but I must say the management can be found working the floors, cleaning the rooms, cooking meals or whatever needs to be done to make sure the residents are well taken care of.
