Our Experience

My loved one is a resident at Delaware Highlands. The paperwork process is nearly impossible, everything else was great and easy. The staff seems to be great.

Went to tour facility for my mother. Upon entry it is congested with residents just sitting by the doorway. The ceilings had signs of leaking. The center itself was ok. Was very cluttered and unorganized in the community kitchen and dining rooms on each floor. Just an abundance of chairs and random things just pushed back into a wall. There was no thought in making it look halfway decent. The apartment itself was very nice. You have to pay 325.00 per month for meals rather you eat once a day or not at all. The barb…

Home Away From Home

Overall I was very impressed with the everything, except they didn't have any activities at all when my dad was there. They definitely need an activities director to have things like...bingo, card games they like to play, maybe a movie night, arts and crafts. There are a ton of activities the residents would like to take part in. They could have a Casino day and use Monopoly money. Especially need to have Holiday themed get togethers.

Staff was very friendly. The facility was clean and fresh. They answered all our questions and gave us all the information we needed to proceed.

Robbery and Limited Activities

There appears to be thieves at work here. My mother has had money, jewelry, and gift cards taken from her room. This is not a one time event, but has occurred at least three times. Activities are limited. They don't have enough activities nor do they have enough trips to get the seniors out and about in the community.
