CriticalI visited most of the facilities referred to me by Place for Mom. Narrowed it down to 3 and took my dad to see them. He chose Raincross. Raincross was smaller with fewer residents. My Dad's condition was worsening, and we thought those factors would be helpful to him. My dad was there for 45 days before he passed.

PositiveThe staff is caring and great. The cost increased $[removed] after the first year. That was not disclosed when the original agreement was signed. The increase is ridiculous. Room size is adequate and activities seem to happen regularly. My mom does not really participate in activities so I don't really know about them.

PositiveI was very apprehensive about putting my mom in assisted living because she’s not a very social person. She’s quiet and keeps to herself. The staff there was so friendly and welcoming. She’s actually doing so much better being there than she was in our home. They take very good care of her, assisting her with showers and tidying up her room. She goes to the dining room for three meals a day, and she says that the food is very good. She enjoys the company of the other guests and has even made a good friend
