What I like the most about the community is the access to outside areas seems to be somewhat restricted (tables placed in front of access points, etc). Open architecture or the public areas makes for a lack of quiet, relaxing areas.

For two years, I was at an assisted living facility here and did not need the extra care that comes with it. After that time, I decided to move to an independent living facility and visited a number of possible locations. Discovery Village is the newest and most impressive, although their assisted living / memory care unit is a separate building and less impressive. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and there are services like OT and PT plus a Nurse Practitioner who is available depending on a persons insurance. There are 1and 2 bedroom apt's available. Options for sizes. 3 story building with w elevators. Lots of amenities like housekeeping, bistro, dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. PositiveGreat experience
5 for overall experience, cleanliness and friendliness. It is an independent care so no real nursing but have in house doctors who visits and can get blood drawn etc. from your own apartment. Food is very good. Menu changes every 6 weeks or so. Lots of activities and great workout facility. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great size. Kitchen is pretty good size with a big pantry. Living space is tight. Everything is updated since it is only a few years old. Beautiful outdoor pool with cabanas and grills to use.
