CriticalLately we've been having a bad experience at Double Creek. Our mom has had to deal with very bad response times from DC staff when she presses her alert pendant. We were told it would be 7-10 minutes before a caregiver would respond. She's been waited much longer, especially at night. And she's soiled herself waiting for someone to assist her. We're considering moving mom to another place. She's made friends there. They have good programs and my mom likes the food. But they seem to be very understaffed.
★★★★★
PositiveDouble Creek has been fine other than a few things that are mostly unexpected and unavoidable - staff turn over which in turn lent itself to other issues. All pretty minor and the management was quick to find replacements and they kept everything running as best they could. Apartment is spacious, food is good and my father is enjoying living there. Dad is content and happy, that's all that matters.

CriticalMoved my Mom out. They didn't help her get her shoes on for breakfast and she ended up falling and breaking her hip. They also didn't clean her room or wash her clothes in the 3 weeks she had been living there.
★★★★★
CriticalThis was a terrible terrible place to put a loved one. My brother-in-law was there for a little over a year and we took him out and reported them to the state and from what I understand the place was fined and something else I don't remember. even the employees said it was a terrible place to work. I would not put my dog there.

PositiveI worked with [name removed], who was very nice, and got me 4 referrals right away. I understand she had surgery a day or two after she sent me the referrals but didn't share she would be unavailable for several days. (I hope she's all good!) It would have been helpful to know that and who an alternate contact point would be. No complaints, just a suggestion. I have recommended A Place For Mom to several folks who may be in need of your services in the near future.
★★★★★
PositiveI would definitely recommend anyone to come and stay. The staff was great and food was really good. Generally, was a very nice place to be for my respite length. I stayed for respite a little over one month. Helped my rehab back home. Select rehab in the community is awesome too.
