I would absolutely And highly recommend the DH Community!

Overall Experience DH is a really nice and friendly senior living community. It is very clean! They have activities, hair salon and sr. bus for outings. It does not look inviting from the outside as the front common area is mainly concrete and you can't get to grass area in a walker or trouble walking, which would be nice especially being on the Hudson, there is a nice view. If you are a smoker, which some are, you are segregated to a spot in the road area to sit in the front, however, have a nice patio on the s…

Not perfect -- and for a good reason

Not a perfect experience because no facility can, in my view, be perfect. And the reason for that is that as a resident in any facilty you give up any number of rights and options that you had before you came to the facilty. Coupled with that is the realization, not easily admitted to on some days, that you are getting older. Someone can be blamed for that in a way that confounds all logic, but in my case I know it is true that I "blame" the facility.

A note of appreciation

Although sadly, my elderly relative did not qualify for Drum Hill's independent living criteria, I was encouraged by the kindness and expertise of [name removed], the Director of Marketing.. She spent time discussing options with me and shared valuable insight, recommendations and suggestions. I can not thank her enough for restoring my faith in the notion of true dedication and commitment to one's clients. What a professional!

Superior is the 1st in mind. Staff and residents are truly a joy to be around. Caring and compassionate. It made me and my family very happy. Mom is safe and secure!

Drum Hill is a sanctuary, especially for those of need. The staff anticipates your situation from experience and they follow up with whatever you request, usually within a very reasonable time. From the dining, to the housing spaces, everything is at a quality you will enjoy in comfort and safety. And did I mention, affordability? Drum Hill is a place where you need not worry, they believe that they have room enough for everyone regardless of background, you will be welcome there.

The energy level among staff and residents is extremely high. the atmosphere and hospitality is wonderful. there is a pleasant and calming nature about being in this particular environment that is rewarding. great place to be.
