The food is not well prepared, healthy, and easy to eat for older people, they are not good with medication, they let medication run out and then when it is ordered you cannot get your meds properly, there is little help from the CNAs, especially on the weekends, the personnel does not appear to be properly trained or followed up how they perform, most don't know how to do laundry and dry and fold clothes, clothes are given to wrong person and Socks are lost. They gave a great first impression. Mom finally agreed, at 97, to go into assisted living. Mom has been there 2 months & several things need improvement. 1. Not enough assistance getting to & from dinning rooms....Mom's unit couldn't be any further from them & still be in the building. 2. Not enough assistance getting/urging to bathe 2 times per week. 3. We are doing great with The Fountains at Mill Cove. Thank you so much for asking. My mom is truly thriving there and really enjoying herself. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, she loves the meals and sense of community, and it’s been wonderful seeing her so engaged and happy. The rooms are a little smaller, but they are perfect for her needs. Overall, we’ve been very happy with the experience.

1 star (a zero if I could). It was horrible. All assisted living means to them is that they bring her pills. They would not help residents get to activities or engage them at all. The food was not good and usually cold. Room size was good but it was all very old and not kept up well. When they told her it was mealtime, mom would many times say no. So they just left her with no food. They wouldn't encourage her to eat and just claimed she has free will. She would have died within months of living there had we not mo…

They get 5 stars. Great staff. They always make sure (or at least attempt) to get my mom to eat. Dad loves the food. Plenty of activities. Facility is clean. Apartment size is quite spacious compared to some other facilities my brother and I initially toured. The DON is always nice to me, despite how difficult my parents are. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the care the Fountains is providing my parents.
