Best subsidized independent living we found in St Louis area

Very happy with our choice. Other subsidized housing facilities were nice, and staff and residents were friendly, but Gambrill Gardens was another tier above them. Residents were very friendly while we were on our first tour without Mom, during her first tour, and after she moved in. No care provided, because this facility is for independent living only. Positive

Outstanding!

My dad was hesitant to leave his home of 45 years. The staff and other residents have made him feel completely at home. He loves the activities, the exercise classes and the food! He tells me daily that the staff treats him like family. I'm so glad we found Gambrill he has a new outlook on life since he's not living by himself.

Gambrill garden's is one big joke & staff doesn't care about one's needs as my mom had high cholesterol & diabetes & high glycemic index and a meal plan was discussed before moving her in or we wouldn't of moved her in

Poor

I happy to say Mom moved out yesterday. She has lost a lot of weight due to the un appetizing food and you have to order a week ahead, Who knows what they want a week from now. They never have BBQ on the fancy patio. The washing machine schedule doesn't work because they have 30 minute time slots and the machine take 40 minute so its always messed up. I can not recommend this place because they did not meet Moms needs.

Was not the place for us.

I use a wheelchair and they have carpet on the floor and the room sizes were small so it was hard for me to get around. Due to the virus, they cut out all housekeeping. The accountant charged for every little thing. Things were different than when we first moved in. Most of the staff was very friendly.
