In hind sight, overall it was good. It's complicated because my wife did not want to be there. It's a beautiful facility, always clean and maintained, food is awesome, staff and residents are friendly, apartment size is adequate, excellent exercise room, convenient location.

Memory care could use some licensed clinicians present during daytime hours. There seems to be a gap with addressing clinical issues in real-time. And we cannot expect med-techs to have the training or critical thinking necessary to address appropriately. There is also an issue with communication from the staff at memory care, which licensed professionals would know the importance and regulatory responsibilities related to this. They are very attentive and respectful to the needs of their tenants . Very warm and welcoming environment. Do not need to move to another section if assistance is needed. Memory care - for safety is located in another section. Plenty of opportunities to get involved with all sorts of activities or celebrations.

When initially looking into the facility they were not pushy about getting my parents to sign a contract. And they really do want to help the residents maintain as much of their lifestyle as possible. For instance, my dad is a ham radio operator (for over 50 years) which requires an antenna and can be tough to get the proper zoning. However, the staff have done a lot of research and were able to figure out step one of the process, so that my dad can use his radio again (just with a limited range for now). And they …
