About Green Valley Recreation Green Valley, Arizona is a conglomerate of 55+ active adult neighborhoods located just south of Tucson. Green Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR) is the organization serving the leisure and social needs of the age-restricted households in Green Valley. Over 120 subdivisions combine to form the collective GVR association. Unlike most retirement communities that restrict residents to the amenities and social activity found within their particular neighborhood, GVR amenities and clubhouses are open to all members regardless of which community or subdivision Green Valley Recreation residents call home. This unique concept provides residents with a more robust, well-rounded community. Green Valley Recreation Amenities Green Valley Recreation membership is tied to the property, and this varies by neighborhood. Residents of some GVR neighborhoods may opt in to membership, while residents of other GVR neighborhoods may not have access to the amenities. Membership provides access to the social and leisure activities offered in the valley. With a small annual fee, members also have access to 15 recreation centers that include amenities such as fitness centers, hobby and craft areas, aerobics and dance studios, woodworking shops, and multipurpose meeting rooms. Outside, the grounds of Green Valley Recreation feature multiple swimming pools, a basketball court, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, and shuffleboard courts. There's also an outdoor amphitheater, a community garden, and a picnic area, ensuring that residents have plenty of outdoor spaces to socialize or enjoy some entertainment. Lastly, There are many single-family homes within Green Valley Recreation that offer a variety of sizes and styles throughout many neighborhoods. Canoa Ranch, Las Campanas, The Springs at Santa Rita, Sunrise Pointe, Solterra, Legends at Santa Rita Springs, Traditions at Desert Creek, and The Links at Santa Rita Springs all offer single-family homes. These homes range from approximately 1,200 to 2,600 square feet in size and are offered as new construction or resale, depending on the neighborhood.
