PositiveOUR SECOND FAMILY
This is the second stay for my father at Hallowstone. The first time he was at a less than desirable facility in the area. It was around Christmas time and we were eager to get him moved. We were able to get a room for dad at Hallowstone, it was a Christmas miracle. Mom and Dad then moved so that they could live together. Later, mom was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. The facility they were staying at would not accept her on hospice. Once again, I contacted Hallowstone. [name removed] and [name removed] we…

They are kind and compassionate. They take the time to get to know the residents. You can tell that they want to be there. The room sizes are adequate. The Brookdale facility in Onalaska (Wisconsin) is a small one but I actually like that. It feels more home-like.

PositiveI appreciated the time Jessica spent to show me the facility and to explain how it functioned. I could see that the staff shared respect for the residents by how they greeted and treated each other. The members of the staff that I met seemed to enjoy working together. Were I to need a space in the future for my husband, I would definitely choose Brookdale in Onalaska.

Brookdale Onalaska is smaller and very personable. The facility is very homey. They offer lots of activities for the residents. It is a great place and everyone has been very helpful.

I'm a former family member of a resident, I don't not approve any body to stay at brookdale , bland food , unsupportive staff , inappropriate outburst from other residents staying their , it was just a overall horrible experience and my mom told me alot of staff would vent to her about their own personal issues and other staff members, it was just an overall negative experience for the both of us .
