We picked Heritage Woods of Minooka, because it was close to our house, and offered financial assistance. I don't need to recommend it or not. Most people that go there don't have a choice because it's the only place they can get in. My advice is to read every single word of the fine print on any financial paperwork that has to do with Medicaid and get all of your questions answered. Ask different people until you get your questions answered. We had a *mostly* good experience except for the financial office. Also p…

Positive experience

Mom passed [date removed]. Heritage did a fine job for her. 2 aids in particular, [name removed] and one other who's name has escaped me, but both were great to her! Those two ladies I mentioned and the staff in the dining room were very uplifting. I ate with her many times in those 3 months and the food and service were great! I can say it would have received a 4.5 or maybe even a 5 if her room did not have a sewer smell from time to time. It was acknowledged, but they couldn't figure it out!

Friendliest people to deal with

The best thing about this community is the staff - their friendliness is the most important thing to us and from top to bottom everybody is great. We have not had a meal there ourselves but we have also not heard any complaints so we assume the meals are good. We would recommend the Heritage Woods of Minooka to other families based on our experience so far.

Friendly Home Like Atmosphere and People That Care

The community was phenomenal on working with the family in getting our loved one admitted. They were patience, thorough, and made us feel welcomed. My loved one is super happy here. The care services such as medication management, dressing, and bathing assistance has been a little disorganized due to shortage of staff. My loved one needed to have bandages changed and the community wouldn't make this simple change, and the family had to go up and change the bandages for our loved one. Anytime my loved one has a qu…

I feel very confident in the community. I don't have to worry about my loved one, as they are well taken care of. The staff treat the residents and their families like a family. There are three meals a day and my loved one is satisfied with them.
