Good fit for Mom

Staff is helpful and supportive. Facility is very clean. Mom was able to make friends and enjoy the social activities. According to my mom, more choices and quantity would improve the food. I believe they were short staffed during her stay, so this may have impacted.

My mom is currently a resident at Vintage Park at Tonganoxie and overall the experience has been great, so far. My mom loves her large room. They provide three meals a day. The staff is friendly and the site manager is responsive. Based on the experience, I would recommend Vintage Park at Tonganoxie to others.

We picked this community, because of the proximity, overall value of price with features and friendly staff. Best option for the price in the area. Needs some updating and facilities work. Both for optics and for repair/upkeep. Food situation has been unsettled due to inability to hire and keep good kitchen staff. Had a great activities director for a while, but she moved on. My loved one is currently a resident at Vintage Park at Tonganoxie and the experience has been very good, overall. The staff at this facility is very friendly. As for cost, it's a fixed fee for all service levels which makes it easier to budget. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Critical

It is a nice place, but the cleanliness is terrible

When I first arrived to the community my room was very dirty. The shower had mold and hair in it, the refrigerator was not clean and the trash was very full. The room was just terribly dirty and to work the TV you had to plug it in and out. The people were very friendly, the food was excellent, the nurses could not of been nicer, but the 4 days I was there I was very disappointed.

Good staff but a few miscommunication issues

This facility is people oriented and my overall experience has been pleasant. The staff members check on my Mother a lot and they give her the liberty to do some things on her own when she wants to. One thing I liked is the housekeeping staff came in and showed us how to set the room up to allow her more room to walk around. They are also very good at keeping her room clean.
