super friendly and helpful

The food quality was pretty much good. They'd have periods of it being pretty yucky and then everybody would complain and then it would get better. I think we had like four or five cooks, maybe two or three during the time that I was there but they always tried to listen to the residence and make improvements based on complaints Activities. I really didn't participate much. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was so sweet and so nice and so willing to help you do anything so I have nothing but praises for them.

Overall experience -5 The nursing team, the transportation lady, and temporary administrator [name removed] pulled up the overall rating from 3 to 5. Cleanliness rating - 5. The nursing staff was exemplary. Even though she lived in Independent Living the nursing team was there when she needed them. The transportation lady, cleaning teams, and dining staff were amazing. Definitely recommended

While there are some activities, it would be nice if there were more activities including music, singing and exercise. Homestead Estates of Wichita is a very nice facility and welcoming. We definitely recommend that others consider Homestead Estates for their assisted living and memory care needs.

Better communication

They need to collaborate with hospice and the doctors better and not leave it up to the families to figure the medical side of things out. They could improve on actually following through with the promises made and meet the expectations - that improvement would go a long way.

Great independent living facility

We are very happy with this community and it was a great choice for mom. When she first moved in, she wasn't comfortable going to the dining room. They were so understanding and delivered her meals to her, which was wonderful. She is satisfied with the food. Their pricing does include 3 meals a day, which I learned during our selection process isn't always the case. They have a pool and a movie theatre.. The residents all have positive things to say. The facility is clean. I feel really comfortable having mom here.…
