Overall my experience with Joy Assisted and the admin [name removed] was good. My father was the problem, he didn't like how far he was from smoking area being in a wheelchair, the room was too small he hated it and was there 3 days. I love Joy Asisted Living

I am a resident of Joy Asisted Living. I have lived here for 3 1/2 years. It is like living in with a large family. The owner has been supportive of me the whole time I have lived here. She has helped me through some difficult times. The staff are very caring. They go the extra mile. They are team workers keeping things running smoothly. My room is wonderful. It is very comfortable. This place isn't worth your time

Some of the staff is very rude they have 1 med aide that doesn't wanna do her job showers are warm at best the food isn't worth writing about it takes 3 weeks 4 them to do your laundry overall this place isn't worth what they charge

They have been very helpful in overall care. The facility has beautiful spacious rooms, but there are some rough areas under renovation since moving in. There aren't many activities, but the ones they have are engaging and heartfelt. My mother says she would like some different food/choices, but is satisfied overall.

If you're looking for a place that's basically room and board, that's the experience we had here.

I know they were short-staffed. And I know Covid had a lot to do with it. We had to make appointments to go and visit, and we couldn't see her room. It was just kind of unhandy. And my loved one needed a little more attention than I thought they were able to provide.

I enjoyed the staff and the residents, but you could tell that the owners did not put much money back into the facility. It was pretty run down, with older furniture with rips and tears and poor lighting in the little common areas. The siding was green and needed to be power washed. The staff were very nice. Not a lot of activities compared to other communities.
