Our newly-renovated, grand colonial architecture and bright, open floor plan welcomes you home here at Kaplan Estates — a community offering assisted living and memory care services, located in the historic city of Peabody, Massachusetts. You’re never too far from a game of golf with two country clubs just a few miles away. Sip on a latte while chatting with other residents in our coffee shop, or take some time to yourself and enjoy the beauty of our professionally landscaped courtyard. Your pet can join you, too! Everyone is welcomed at Kaplan Estates. We strive to be an inclusive community, so even though Kaplan Estates is a Jewish-run community, we provide assistance and care to people of all backgrounds and denominations. We also offer worship services of many faiths in our non-denominational chapel. Community Amenities and Services Professional staff is available 24/7 to assist with daily living activities. Our care services cover a broad range of medical needs, such as dietary assistance and medication management, among other services. Audiology and podiatry specialists can also be scheduled to meet with residents on site. Don’t worry about making the bed or washing linens. Our staff takes care of all housekeeping and laundry services on a weekly basis. We also offer a vast menu of hearty and delicious meals available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Without the distractions of daily chores, residents can solely focus on pursuing their own interests. Kaplan Estates offers an extensive list of activities that accommodates all types of lifestyles. Residents who seek to be more active can workout in the fitness center or attend an off-site outing with our provided transportation. For those who would rather stay inside, there are baking classes, lectures and presentations, as well as a beauty salon. Kaplan Estate’s memory care community — Legacy — offers additional services and activities to residents living with Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related illnesses. By using Habilitation Therapy, our specially trained staff focuses on encouraging residents to stay active and maintain a positive emotional state throughout the day. Residents can use one of our relaxation rooms, participate in music therapy, or spend some time gardening in one of our therapeutic gardens. Living Options We currently offer both private and semi-private, studio and one-bedroom apartments. Units with a kitchenette, private bath, and walk-in closets are available. Each apartment has individually controlled heating and air conditioning to help ensure all residents are comfortable. Care Types Offered Kaplan Estates is an assisted living residence , which in the state of Massachusetts is a residence that provides housing and personal care to residents. Personal care includes assistance with activities of daily living, self-administered medication management, and supervision. An assisted living residence can provide skilled nursing care or special care to residents with cognitive impairments as long as they meet the proper requirements.
