Facility is very nice, kept clean. Majority of the staff is very accommodating, pleasant to speak with. They, like everyone else, sometimes were short staffed, at no fault to the facility. We really liked the private room setting for my Mom. Didn't feel like an 'institution' like some care facilities can. My mom was diabetic, I think their menu was a little tough on her. And I think at some point my mom didn't really know what she was eating. It is hard to prepare meals that everyone likes. It is probably 'health…

I am no expert on what care should be like. I see people that are in pretty bad shape that require a lot of attention, in my opinion, questionable if they shouldn't be in skilled nursing instead. But what do I know!! Most of the workers try hard to be accommodating, but the shortage of help puts a load on all of them. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in today. We chose Keelson Harbour because I was hoping he could go into memory care but it did not end up that way. Another reason was I needed to be in a place that had assisted living that could help me in and out of bed. The food here is more institutional and I would prefer more homemade cooking. But the staff members are great and I would definitely recommend.
