Lake Sherwood Village Retirement Community

Good experience so far. Nice neighbors and staff

My mom is enjoying her stay there so far. Neighbors and staff are friendly. She has been to a few events and enjoyed it. She has used the facilities transportation and that has been a huge help for doctors appointments. The food has been ok, some things she enjoys others not so much. The dining room staff has gone out of their way to accommodate her with chef salads when the meals aren't to her liking. Overall we have had a good experience so far.

One bad apple spoils the bunch

The facility is okay at face value. Direct staff is good. Upper management is morally decrepit, rude, stressful to deal with, sneaky and money hungry. I wouldn’t recommend unless you want constant drama. My mother was miserable at the end and begging to move.

This one we liked least of all. My loved one knew right away walking in that this was not going to be the place for her based on other places we had toured. The apartments had no separation from the bedrooms to the main room. So there was no privacy in the rooms themselves. There was a kitchenette, but it was all one room. The people were all friendly and helpful. They were well prepared for our appointment, and they offered us to come for meals. The tour itself was great. My loved one was just looking for a more h…

A Great Place, to Not Worry About

This community is absolutely wonderful. My cousin was very happy while they were there. I heard about checker and chess games from my loved one along with the other activities while she was there. I loved the affordable structure of this community.

if think of a retirement home its great

This community is one of the better facilities in the city. The rooms sizes are good and the layout is also good. The food can get a little boring but is very good. I have been very pleased with their community and I would recommend it.

We loved this facility and the feel of it. We are not sure if our mom is interested in Baton Rouge area, but we will try to convince her to at least tour this facility. The downside of this facility is the requirement of the one year lease.
