About LakeRidge Falls LakeRidge Falls by Centex is a gated active adult community in Sarasota, Florida. This intimate 55+ neighborhood is located just north of University Parkway about five miles north of Sarasota, close to many of the amenities in Sarasota, Bradenton, and the Keys. Numerous restaurants surround the area of LakeRidge Falls as well. Beautiful grounds with a waterfall near the main entrance greet residents and visitors. While LakeRidge Falls is located in Manatee County, all residents have a Sarasota County street address. LakeRidge Falls Amenities The modern clubhouse at LakeRidge Falls is situated right next to a lake. It features a fully equipped fitness center, meeting rooms, arts and craft room (doubles as a meeting room for some of the clubs at LakeRidge Falls), billiards, and a grand salon with kitchen and serving bar. Outdoor amenities include a heated, resort-style pool, bocce ball courts, and a yard chess set. LakeRidge Falls Homes & Real Estate Construction of LakeRidge Falls at Sarasota started in 2001 by Centex and was completed in 2003 with a total of 399 residences. LakeRidge Falls is comprised of three different neighborhoods such as Sterling Falls with 151 detached single-family homes, Victoria Falls with 110 duplex villas, and Sandstone Falls with 138 garden villas arranged in quads and six-plex style buildings. Most residences either back up to a lake or wooded preserve area. All homes are maintenance free and the homeowners' association fee takes care of grounds and private landscaping, as well as the exterior of all buildings. Single-family homes range in sizes from 1,511 to 2,091 square feet. Attached homes range in sizes from 1,391 to 1,576 square feet and include duplex, quad and six-plex arrangements. All homes feature barrel tile roofs. No fences are permitted, which contributes to a nice open feel for this small community. Homes in LakeRidge Falls are available on a resale-only basis. LakeRidge Falls Lifestyle LakeRidge Falls at Sarasota may be small, but its residents are quite active and welcoming to new residents. There is a social committee which handles activities, such as shows, dinners, barbecues, card tournaments, holiday events, and scheduling of club times. Some of the existing clubs people can join are bible study, bingo, book, bunco, bridge, euchre, horseshoes, LakeRidge Falls bowlers, Mah Jongg, bocce ball, reader’s theater, sociable stitchers, travel group, and zumba. LakeRidge Falls also has a monthly newsletter and even its own community TV station. Surrounding Area LakeRidge Falls is conveniently located just a few minutes from the dining and shopping of downtown Sarasota. Sarasota has two hospitals and an International airport. For entertainment, some of the most popular cultural attractions are include Art Center, Asolo Theater, Florida West Coast Symphony, Mote Marine Aquarium, Ringling Museum of Art, Selby Botanical Gardens, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, and the Players Theater. There are also an abundance of wildlife areas and State parks within the vicinity. Beautiful beaches are only 15 minutes away, and Tampa offers a multitude of sports teams that's about one hour away.
