Nothing clean or works

They want to raise our rent [removed] a month. Really we are low income and a tax credit building. Which i must say is badly maintained. Bed bugs cockroaches. Washing machines are gross dryers not work. Elevator goes out everyday. Holes in every screen. I hope they are happy want to raise my rent [removed] bucks more then I make. Most people only paying [removed] a month. Bew people up to [removed] a month. We have a clubhouse? Where we have nothing. Shame on you lilac apartments!

I thought it was a little overpriced for what you get, everything is added on and not included in the price. I was just looking for specific things and this was not the right fit for me.

Nice place to live if you stay to yourself, if you’re a person who enjoys company and have a lot of friends, this is not the place for you, the bathrooms are ugly and the toilets sucks you must hold it down until the water fill the tank, been waiting for months for a repair. This is a Senior building, think because no management people have younger family members living with them.

My name is [name removed] & I'm writing this review on behalf of my sister-in-law. She is happy with all the benefits of Lilac Apts. The elevators, the laundry facilities & the friendliness of everyone in the building! Being raised in the city where CTA is such a convenience, the ability to walk up to the corner and hop on a bus to go anywhere & at anytime. This she misses a lot! Eventually she will be able to get used to the bus services here!

I toured this facility when I was originally looking for a place for myself and just from the brief time that I was there, they were okay. I made an appointment and went out there and was able to take a tour. The lady there that helped me had no flexibility with their waiting list (which was roughly 2 years out). However, she was knowledgeable about the community and what they had to offer but it was discouraging on the time frame for the waiting list. It needs some updating and cleaning. Kind of old with a not so cozy feeling.
