A good place to live

The employees are so helpful. One example is this past January we had a big snowstorm. After the street plows went through my car was snowed in. The maintenance crew dug my car out. We have multiple luncheons during the year celebrating the major holidays. The food is excellent and we get to invite guests at no cost.

Homey environment with lots of activities

We really liked the Lorelton! They just didn't have the medical care Mom needed Mom was in Memory Care and the Lorelton did an outstanding job keeping everyone engaged and stimulated. Very little TV watching, lots of socializing and activities (music, visiting pets, baking, art, etc.). Mom was almost never in her room. The facility was warm and homey, not institutional or hospital-like. Mom ended up needing more medical care than the Lorelton could provide. They also do not accept Medicaid, so we would have had t

Review for Lorelton

It is going well so far. Sometimes it takes a long time for them to respond when mom hits her call button, and they don't notify me when she needs personal hygiene items. Otherwise going well. Food is good.

Response from the community

I appreciate your taking the time to do an online review. I would love for you to give me a call and let me know who your loved one is so that I can pull the call logs to give you the exact call bell times and how long it took for a staff member to respond, because our call bell times are within minutes. We keep track of each and every call and how long each response takes so we can give you exact numbers and address any problems if there were indeed any. As far as keeping track of personal supplies, that is not something we do. That is something that the family or resident themselves keep track of. You can always setup recurring deliveries for those items to make it easier for you. I am glad you're happy with the food :)

Wonderful place to live.

The food is good almost feel like I'm eating at home. They have so many different sizes of units. Many of them have full kitchens and washer/dryers. Good medical staffing and attentive aids. They will be replacing all the 1930's style windows beginning in August.

Friendly staff and lots of activities!

My mom was in memory care at the Lorelton, and I love that she was rarely in her room. She was almost always with the other residents, and it seemed like the activity director was constantly engaging them, either with group activities, or one on one. Also the facility décor was more homey than where she is now, with carpets and murals and a lovely common room that had a very large fireplace. Overall, the caregivers and even the housekeepers, food service and maintenance teams were friendly and compassionate.
