About the community
Imagine a life where you can be as independent and active as you want, without having to worry about the many household chores waiting on your to-do list. At Maranatha Village — a community offering independent and assisted living services — we can help you do just that. Spend your day relaxing in our enclosed courtyard. Take advantage of our various on-site activities, or explore the greater Springfield area with its several parks, restaurants, and shopping centers. Our community sits on 100 acres of land, filled with a variety of wildlife — almost like our own private nature reserve. Deer, geese, swans, and even turkeys are often spotted by residents overlooking the natural surroundings. You never know what you’ll stumble across on your daily walk. With lush, green lawns, walking paths, and a stocked lake all on campus, residents will never grow tired of the scenery. Community Amenities and Services At Maranatha Village, we strive to enable residents to maintain as much independence as possible; however, we also recognize that the aging process affects everyone in different ways. That is why our caregivers and skilled nurses take the time to get to know each resident as an individual before creating a personalized care plan based on their specific needs and desires. Assisted living services, such as medication management, ambulatory and incontinence care, and assistance with daily living activities, are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also provide intensive, state of the art therapy programs that are personally tailored to match your rehabilitative needs. Our staff also provides a wide range of services to help ease daily burdens, such as housekeeping, maintenance, and linen services. Use your newly found free time fishing from our lake’s pier, growing spectacular flowers in your garden, or attending weekly religious services at our on-site chapel. Even more, our staff works tirelessly to organize a variety of recreational and social events for residents, such as live entertainment or movie nights, to help like-minded residents get to know each other. With easy access to a variety of fun and exciting activities, we’re confident that you’ll love life at Maranatha Village. Living Options Everyone has different preferences when it comes to living spaces. Some prefer the camaraderie of having a roommate, while others prefer to spend their free time alone. For those in independent living, you can choose between a house, duplex, or apartment. All options range from one- to three-bedroom floor plans. Those in assisted living can choose between a semi-private or private one- or two-bedroom apartment. All apartments include a call monitoring system, so you can rest easy knowing that if an emergency should arise, you will receive immediate attention by our kind and professional staff. CriticalWhere to start!? My mom was in the independent living apartments. Trash never got picked up when it was supposed to. Maintenance requests are slow to be addressed during and after business hours. Even once addressed it may take a few days to get the problem resolved. The cable service that is offered is total and complete trash! Very few channels come in consistently. We've tried different TVs, locations etc. pretty poor selection. Overnight maintenance requests were not addressed in the morning. I went to her apa…
