MerryWood on Park

A Place for Moms made an appointment for us, however, it did not seem like they were aware of the appointment. We were not thrilled with their 2-bedroom layouts. Closet space at a minimum. Activity centers were on different floors instead of being in one place.

Merrywood not exactly the place to call home.

I would give Merrywood 3 stars. The dinning room staff is so kind. They are understaffed so a meal takes about 1 1/2 hours. Sometimes not even order takes for 45 minutes. Not bad when sitting with friends. The activities are mostly online in auditorium in W building. A long walk. Then depending on staff they don't start on time. The great activities are yoga and Tai Chi both with experienced practitioners The worst is the Care Giving Staff. They run in drop off meals and run out. Forget to take garbage out. …

Proverbial Vacation

I have lived at MerryWood since [date removed]. The activities are wonderful. I just came from a wonderful session where we were drumming and what I’ve liked about that is all of us are different. We have different skills, but somehow we all came together to drum together and make music. tai chi and yoga are two of the my favorite things. 15 years and counting

I have been at MerryWood for almost 15 years. The minute I walked in the door I knew this is where I want to live. The people here are like Family and the staff works so hard to make things perfect for us. I think that we have the best Activities group because they take us on many trips. They also have activities here at MerryWood that are really good. Also, they bring live entertainment particularly the Bluegrass band they had a couple weeks ago. Great - my mother and I have toured this facility before and really like it. The only issue we have is the location of the laundry in the floor plan my mom likes.
