Middlewoods of Farmington is dedicated to providing a warm transition for seniors considering independent living or assisted living in Farmington, Connecticut. Our small, home-like community is affiliated with the University of Connecticut Health Center, right in our serene, enlightened town of Farmington. We’ve established our community to consider the significance of all-around senior care and work to accommodate and support the needs of residents and their families throughout their search to find the right place. We provide a community where residents can age in grace and continuously feel right at home. At Middlewoords, each resident is valued and known for who they are and what is important to them. We believe that individualized care should aim to create meaningful and long-lasting relationships with every resident and their loved ones. Our highly trained staff are compassionate and empathetic to the care and services necessary to support the daily lives of residents. Quality care is essential to everything we do, from maintenance in living spaces, health and wellness, to recreation, life is effortless and filled with vibrant, sincere memories that last a lifetime at our award-winning community in Farmington. Community Amenities and Services Middlewoods has adopted our relationship-centered philosophy that enriches the lives of residents every moment. From our dining, amenities, to our leisure activities, we highlight the voices of residents in everything we do. Our dining services are complemented by our Resident Food Committee that meets regularly with our skilled chef to sample new dishes and discuss upcoming menus. We also help ensure the health and comfort of each resident with our on-site health care providers available throughout the day. Our full-time recreation staff develops an extensive calendar for social activities and programs that promote mental and physical stimulation, like fitness classes and a variety of interest clubs. Our staff is attentive to the growing interests of residents who provide input on life enriching activities they many enjoy. The variety is very good but small portions according to my FIL. There seems to be a large range of activities which they have not participated in too much yet. But they will as they get comfortable. It is a relatively small place so everyone feels at home but also offers a variety of activities to cater to different interests. As a family member, I always felt informed as to my loved one’s care and had multiple opportunities to join my sister in various activities.
