PositiveNeedless to say, no one looks forward to the idea of assisted living. My uncle was no different. He went kicking and screaming. Since moving in three months ago, he has made some friends and seems to be enjoying himself. He seems to like the staff too.
★★★★★
PositiveI moved in about three years ago because my health was declining and being at home was more challenging. The caregivers are generally good and care about me and the other residents and we appreciate the care they provide. The community is clean. Activities are fun. The food is good, the dining staff make me happy and we generally have a good time. I love being outside and the patio and covered porch are two of my favorite places. PositiveI moved to Mira Vie Manalapan almost two years ago after surviving a stroke. When I arrived I was not able to walk and confined to a wheel chair. I attribute my being able to walk so well now to my diligence and determination along with the quality therapy department and caregivers at Mira Vie Manalapan. PositiveWe didn't look at others. There were men and women, which were as a positive for my dad. They had activities (but not enough- supposedly that's at all these places). People seemed happy there. The place isn't perfect, could use more activities, but it was clean and people were in the common areas, dressed and clean - so that's something
★★★★★
PositiveWhat we like the most about the Mira Vie Manalapan community is that the care staff was great. But very hard to reach admin for various things including billing , maintenance issues - broken a/c etc went on too long
★★★★★
PositiveI was very happy with that placement. They were wonderful to him and the staff just overall was great. The activities director turned out was someone that I knew and he's absolutely fabulous. He was actually a student of mine when I was a school counselor, but I couldn't have been happier [name removed]was as happy as he could be. The dementia had really progressed, but they treated him so well I only have good things to say about it.
