I would rate them a 5 on all counts, but my father was only there for 2 weeks before he passed away. Based on the experience we had, we would absolutely recommend the community to other families.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My Mom loved her health aides. They went above and beyond to make her comfortable and happy. Also, the food was nutritious and delicious! The cost is about what other similar places charge . We did have a problem with them saying they couldn't give her Advil without a doctors letter. Kaiser kept saying they sent authorization and Morningstar said they never received it. It kept going back and for for about 10 days

I've been very pleasantly impressed with this facility and the staff. And Mom loves the food and activities. Assisted living and memory care apartments are identical. And the memory care area is bright and airy. I liked knowing the memory care area was as nice as assisted living; just in case. The facility also feels like a large home. Very inviting.

The people at Morningstar are amazing! They treat their residents with respect, dignity and love. The food is really good, and families are able to share a meal with their loved one at any time. My Mom loved the food for the most part. She thought Morningstar was a pretty place and she liked looking at the fresh flowers that were near the dining area. Her care team really strived to make her happy and well cared for. Although her time was too short at Morningstar, we became attached to several of the employees who went above and beyond in their care for her.
