Good service and care but could use better training

The head nurse is amazing and always takes good care of them. The dining area is great because they know my mom has gluten intolerance so they’re very good at making sure she avoids it. The caregivers and med techs could use a bit more training on dealing with dementia patients. Naturally, they have a lot of residents to care for so I understand that what they do just becomes a job; it doesn’t help that my mom can be very difficult and angry. The staff is nice and mostly have been great. I think a suggestion box would be useful as would an apartment/ equipment checklist before turning keys over to a new resident.

A really great facility

It is an exceptional facility. Not too many residents, friendly staff, clean and new facilities. Lots of engagement. But the thing that is most significant is a real feeling of security. I feel my mom is safe and as well taken care of as possible given the circumstances.

Review for MorningStar of Pasadena

The best place any senior could be at. The staff is very attentive, polite and helpful at all times. She is given her medication and checked by a nurse every day. The food is good, they have a variation of entertainment every week. There is a trip to the store every week and fun day out too.

Review for MorningStar of Pasadena

I would definitely recommend to others. Overall, we're very happy with Morningstar .The only reason I put 4 for the first response is because the kitchen staff is lacking. But I don't think it's really their fault per se. they're just very short staffed

Very impressed

I am very impressed with the overall experience my father has had at Morningstar. Very happy my father is there.The staff is always very friendly and helpful. My father says the food is excellent and they are always happy to accommodate any special requests. I looked at several other assisted living homes in the area, and Morningstar was head and shoulders above the rest.
