NEGLECT

NEGLECT OF BASIC CARE! Do not send your loved one here, unless they are self-sufficient and can advocate for themselves. My mother was admitted to the third floor of Mount Alverna Village for short term rehab. On the first day, she waited 2.5 hours for a sandwich, 3 hours for a working TV -- both after multiple requests made by me -- and then she was LEFT IN A WET DIAPER FOR MORE THAN 14 HOURS. My mom bagan tracking the call response times: 20, 30, 40 minutes. Someone would stop in only to say they’d return, and th

NEGLECT

If your loved one is unable to advocate for themselves, BE ADVISED -- NEGLECT IS A REAL RISK HERE. On her first day, it took 2.5 hours to get my mother lunch, 3 hours to get her TV working -- both of which I repeatedly inquired about -- and she was LEFT IN A WET DIPER FOR MORE THAN 14 HOURS! A night aide was mean to my mom after she had an accident. The aides do not come in a timely manner when called. Someone misplaced my mom's ice pack, which conveniently showed up when I came to pack my mom's belongings. The man

Never an odor, small resident groups, with attentive staff. It is pricey.

Mount Alverna Village Review

Overall, it's been a pleasant experience, but the only thing they really have to improve on is the quality of their food. We really like that it's Catholic, because religion and having a relationship with God is important to our family.

Review for Mount Alverna Village

We picked this community because it was one of the suggestions by A Place for Mom...also, some family members had heard good things about it from others. Would definitely recommend to others. The activity director [name removed] is amazing. They do communication well...they inform families by email when key personnel are on vacation and who to contact in their absence...they acknowledge when they are having difficulties filling an open role and what they are doing about it...they inform families about any change in

I am grateful that my brother was treated with respect and dignity during his final day. Thank you.

My brother [name removed] was a patient at Mount Alverna Village in Parma, OH from early [date removed] until his death on [date removed]. He was diagnosed with vascular dimentia which caused him to be bedridden. I visited 8 assisted living/Nursing Homes before I decided on Mount Alverna. I picked Mount Alverna because it was close to my home, it was non-profit and it was Catholic. I want to thank everyone at Mount Alverna for the care and kindness he received. The journey my brother and I traveled during this tim
