Review for Oak Pointe of Rolla, a Viva Community

The apartment is nice. My mother-in-law enjoyed it but unfortunately she passed away only 4 months after moving in. My father in-law was there until June and had a stroke. He was in the hospital for quite some time and is now in a rehabilitation facility. The nursing staff at Oak Pointe are working with the other facility to get him back to Oak Pointe and we are very grateful for that.

Happy to live at oak point in Rolla Missouri

I have a loving room and a nice size bedroom. We have been in need of a maintained guy but one started today. The food is good on most days but I can choice something else for them to fix me. There hamburgers are really good. And grilled cheese

Accommodations are far too small. Otherwise I thought it was a wonderful place. Great place for some, but I would be bored and cramped.

I would certainly still recommend this place, even though there's room for a few improvements.

I would have given it a 5 but they've had problems since they were sold a couple of months ago. For one thing, the meals have gone downhill. A new cook is supposed to start this week and I'll be in town from 3-23 thru 3-28 when I'll be eating most of my meals there, so I will have a better idea of what's going on. Mom is supposed to get her hearing aides put in before breakfast, but that has been sporadic. It seems like the notes don't get read by all the help--seems to be a huge turnover recently. What I like: t

Oak Pointe of Rolla experience

Oak Pointe has been very good in working with us over a period of several months and trying to get my mom into assisted-living. My mom was very much against moving into assisted-living. We had some house damage from the tornado and that eventually prompted us to tell her she couldn't live in her house anymore And but since she's moved in, she has done very well, though she was very resistant at first, but she's got her room now or she's got a single bedroom and my sister really got it decorated up real nice and I t
