PositiveOur family's experience
Overall: cleanliness excellent as well as food. Some communication problems. But she is new and they have to get to know her. I like the activities and she has been participating in them. She did not want to move out of her house but I feel she is adjusting which is asking a lot of a 96 year old. If she wasn't deaf (moderate-severely) this whole experience would be way better

This community has an open layout, is very clean, and has a friendly staff. I chose this community because both the assisted living and memory care facilities were appealing. The memory care area, in particular, is bright and open, a welcome change from many others in the area that felt dark and like an afterthought. The Alder floor plan in assisted living is a good size, and we were able to fit my dad's king-size bedroom set comfortably, which was a huge plus. The closets, however, are a bit small. My mother is very happy at The Oakmont! Staff is excellent, facility is beautiful they could do with better entertainment. There has been a couple different Chefs and the present one isn't very imaginative menu is pretty boring.

Clean and well maintained. Friendly patient staff. Great food. My Dad can be a bit challenging at times but he seems to have found his niche and is happy. They also uphold rules which is appreciated.
